Who we are?
YMCA Serbia is volunteery, nonpolitical, nonprofit, christian association whose prime role is to help and serve to young people in fisical, pshicological and spiritual development of their personality.What can you find here?
Main goals and methods are:
- humanitarian and volunteer help to groups and individuals in need;
- educational programmes about science, culture, art, literature, ecology, social issues...
- spreading of fair-play principles;
- promotion of democracy, tolerance, civil responsibility and spreading of human ideals;
- develop a framework for cooperation between NGOs, government institutions, international organizations etc...
What we do?
In order to achieve its goals YMCA Serbia is:
- Organizing humanitarian and charity actions directed to help people in need;
- Organizing camps for its members with spiritual, educational, ecological programes;
- Organizing sport, ecologic, and cultural actions and manifestations along with creating groups of young people for various social activities;
- Publishing books, magazines and other materials that contributes in achieving its goals;
- Cooperating with national, regional and local associations that has simuliar orientation.
Our main activities
Demonstration of Youth - a project that has goal to help promote young demo bands and their songs, and to help organize concerts with themathic aspect on Tolerance, HIV\AIDS prevention, Healthy lifestyle, and this way influence young people with positive message.
Kulpin Fest - Music Festival that has special themathics, this year we plan to have theme on tolerance, multikulturism and multinational tolerance. www.youtube.com/kulpinfest
In our Youth Centre we have regular activities : sport activities, non formal educational activities, ecological actions...
