YMCA Macedonia
Who we are?
YMCA Macedonia is part of the YMCA family spread in more than 130 countries worldwide. We have two local YMCAs: YMCA Skopje and YMCA Bitola.
We are non-profit, apolitical, nongovernmental, nonreligious and inclusive youth association which aims to provide more opportunities and actively to interact with the youth in our local community.
We enable our youth in its better inclusiveness in the society, raising the values among our youth and valuable spending of their free time basically through working and participating in our programmes and projects.
What can you find here?
YMCA Macedonia emphasize the interaction among our youth working together for personal development of spirit, mind and body. We stimulate our young people in their diversity and creativity providing opportunities for better future for all.
We see youth as our main target group, human recourse and development potential. We offer them possibilities for healthy development of spirit, mind and body through different group and personal activities involving creative work, intellectual challenges and getting new skills and knowledge. We empower all, especially young people to take increased responsibilities and assume leadership at all levels. We are building awareness of the cultural differences.
What we do?
Fields that we are focused on: civic community, informal education through trainings and workshops, culture and art through many programmes, healthy lifestyle programme.
Our main activities
- Y-Movie - Making interesting movies from trainings, camps, festivals, other youth initiatives. Possibility for own selfexpression videos.
- Y-Comics - Making creative comics from trainings, camps, festivals, other youth initiatives. Possibility for own selfexpression comics.
- Acid Triple - Street performaces in juggling with fire, silk and lightened elements.
- Trainings - Trainings offering concrete skills for working in the NGO sector and personal development trainings.
- Camps - International summer camps.
- Youth Exchanges - Possibilites to see othe countries, cultures and people.
- Helthy Lifestyle - Promoting and practicing the Healthy Lifestyle.

Every year on 5th of december, the Baia Mare community celebrates International Volunteer`s Day
On 15th Dec the YMCA of Montenegro was registered nationally with the Ministry of Internal Affairs as Non-Government Organization.
YMCA Romania Federation compressed its activities from this year 2011 in a newsletter. 
During the European YMCA Youth Workers Camp from 7th to 14th of August 2010 in Michelstadt, Germany, a network for the exchange of youth work experiences in the European YMCA has been started.
